Role Summary

The Data Analyst, Specialist is responsible for leveraging data-driven insights to support strategic business decisions and improve operational efficiency. This role involves structuring complex business requests into well-defined analytical projects, extracting and analyzing large datasets from multiple sources, and developing automated reporting and decision-support solutions to enhance data accessibility and business outcomes. The role will also evaluate and support emerging analytics, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities that help drive innovation and improve decision-making across the organization.

Core Responsibilities

1. Engages with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions and goals. Brings structure to business requests, translates requirements into an analytical project approach, and leads projects through completion. Delegates tasks and provides tactical and strategic guidance to peers.

2. Acquires, integrates, and curates structured and unstructured data from diverse sources. Ensures data quality, accuracy, reasonableness, and fitness for use while helping establish scalable data assets that support advanced analytics, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.

3. Performs analyses of historical data to surface trends and insights using advanced analytical methods. Evaluates and applies emerging analytical techniques, including AI-assisted methods where appropriate, and validates approaches used by other analysts.

4. Develops and delivers compelling visualizations, presentations, and decision-support tools that translate complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations. Uses storytelling techniques to help business partners understand insights, tradeoffs, and potential actions.

5. Develops, owns and manages recurring analytic or reporting processes.

6. Mentors, coaches, trains, and develops junior data analysts. Proactively expands knowledge of business and analytics and shares with team members. Shares and documents best practices.

7. Contributes to strategic initiatives and innovation efforts. Identifies and pilots new analytical, automation, and AI capabilities that advance team objectives and enhance organizational effectiveness.

8. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 years in advanced data analysis, statistical modeling or business intelligence.

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science, IT, or a Bachelor’s in Statistics/Mathematics.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, data extraction and performance optimization.

  • Expertise in Python or R for data manipulation, automation and advanced analytics.

  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to create interactive dashboards and reporting solutions.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with AI-enabled analytics, generative AI applications, AI agent development, Microsoft Fabric, Amazon Bedrock, or other emerging analytics technologies is a plus.
