Full Job Description
Mission of the Role:

The mission of the Data Analyst, Growth Marketing & Attribution is to tell Curology where growth is actually coming from - owning the measurement layer that determines how acquisition spend is evaluated and allocated. Reporting to the Analytics Lead, this role sits on the Data Analytics team and serves as the embedded analytics partner to Growth Marketing.

Success depends on building and defending attribution and incrementality measurement that holds up to scrutiny, and on reconciling platform-reported performance against warehouse truth rather than accepting either at face value. The analyst connects channel and campaign performance to acquisition economics, so that spend decisions are made on what each dollar actually returns, not on channel-reported credit.
Essential Functions and Impact Areas:

Attribution & Incrementality Measurement
  • Own Curology's first-touch and last-touch attribution models end to end - the logic, the maintenance, and the rationale for how credit is assigned.
  • Assess where attributed credit overstates or understates a channel's true contribution, and recommend the test or analysis that would settle it.
  • Reconcile platform-reported conversions against warehouse-sourced truth, quantify the gap, and explain what drives it.
  • Recommend when attribution modeling answers the question and when it does not - and when an experiment is the only credible read.
  • Document model logic, assumptions, and known limitations so results are reproducible and defensible.

Growth Performance Reporting
  • Build and maintain Tableau reporting on CAC, CVR, payback period, LTV:CAC, and funnel conversion by channel, campaign, and cohort.
  • Define and own the metric definitions behind acquisition reporting so marketing, finance, and leadership work from one set of numbers.
  • Deliver recurring performance readouts that lead with the decision implication, not the metric movement.
  • Surface spend inefficiency and performance anomalies proactively rather than on request.

Channel & Acquisition Economics
  • Analyze acquisition cohorts through retention, churn, and LTV to show which channels deliver subscribers who stay.
  • Diagnose funnel performance from impression through subscription and into early retention, isolating where and why drop-off occurs.
  • Segment customers and audiences to inform targeting, creative, and budget allocation decisions.

Marketing Partnership & Decision Support
  • Partner with Growth Marketing on budget allocation, channel mix, and test roadmap decisions as an embedded analytical voice.
  • Translate open-ended marketing questions into scoped analysis with defined success criteria, and push back when the requested output will not answer the decision.
  • State findings candidly when the data contradicts a channel narrative or a prevailing assumption about what is working.
  • Turn around time-sensitive spend and campaign questions on marketing's timeline, while stating clearly when a fast read is directional and what a rigorous answer would require.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years in an analytics role, including at least 2 years directly supporting paid acquisition, performance marketing, or growth teams.
  • Hands-on ownership of marketing attribution - building, maintaining, and defending models, with a working command of the tradeoffs between last-touch, multi-touch, media mix, and experiment-based approaches.
  • Working knowledge of paid channel platform data (Meta, Google, TikTok, or similar), its reporting limitations, and how to reconcile it with warehouse data.
  • Advanced SQL, including complex joins, window functions, and query optimization against large datasets in a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, Redshift, or similar).
  • Tableau experience building and maintaining production dashboards used by business teams, not one-off visuals.
  • Customer behavior analysis across retention, churn, cohort, LTV, and segmentation methods.
  • Experience defining KPIs and developing metrics, scorecards, and performance reporting used by business teams and leadership.
  • Communicates technical findings to non-technical audiences in both written and live formats.
  • Uses AI as an execution partner to accelerate query drafts, design mockups, and polish outputs, while remaining fully capable of producing the work without AI. Corrects AI output and owns the quality of what ships.

Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience in a DTC subscription business.
  • Experience measuring marketing impact beyond attributed credit - holdout tests, lift studies, or media mix modeling.
  • Experience supporting lifecycle or CRM marketing, including email and SMS campaign measurement.

Benefits
Location:
  • Remote - United States
Benefits & Perks:
  • Competitive compensation and equity package (RSUs)
  • 🥼 Comprehensive benefits: Medical, dental, vision, FSA and HSA, supplemental coverages (critical illness, accident, hospitalization), and 401(k)
  • Access to wellbeing perks, including OneMedical, Spring Health, SoFi, and Employee Assistance Program
  • Flexible paid time off and holiday policy
  • 🐣 Paid parental leave (birthing and non-birthing parents)
  • Employee donation matching program
  • 🫱🫲 Culture Committee and employee resource groups for virtual and in-person connectivity
  • Complimentary VIP Subscription to Curology or Agency, plus online retail discount

The estimated base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, plus a competitive equity package and benefits. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including location, skills, experience, and job-related expertise.
