In this individual contributor role, you will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate evolving business questions into governed datasets, repeatable analytic methods, and clear, actionable insights across 10+ Medicaid markets. You will execute complex data queries, integrate and validate healthcare data from multiple sources, and assess health and economic outcomes to inform decisions.

What success looks like

  • Turn ambiguous questions into clear requirements, appropriate analytic approaches, and actionable recommendations
  • Deliver high-quality work in fast-moving environments.

This role supports a portfolio of enterprise and market-facing analytics products that drive performance management, incentive forecasting, and strategic decision support across Medicaid markets. Examples include:
  • P4P & Quality Incentive Dashboard: Dashboards for quality incentive tracking, P4P projections, and enterprise-wide performance visibility
  • Medicaid Optimizer Dashboard: Market-level modeling and reporting (e.g., dollar-per-compliant-member estimates) to support prioritization and investment decisions
  • Off-Cycle CAHPS Survey Dashboard: a centralized view of member experience insights collected between annual CAHPS fielding periods, enabling health plans to proactively monitor performance and respond faster to emerging issues.
  • Engagement & Campaign Performance Dashboard: Performance tracking to support cross-functional outreach initiatives
  • Ad hoc Strategic Analysis: Rapid-turn analysis for P4P scenarios, ROI projections, and executive decision support

Job Responsibilities
  • Data Engineering & Analysis: Write robust, efficient code in SQL/GCP to extract, manipulate, and analyze large healthcare datasets across diverse data pipelines
  • Dashboard Development & Data Visualization: Design, deploy, and maintain data visualizations and dashboards to calculate vital KPIs (P4P dollar projections, quality incentive tracking, ROI analysis) and recommend actionable insights for leaders
  • Strategic Partnership: Work closely with executive leadership and health plan leaders to provide project updates, flag barriers, build advanced trend and ad hoc reports, and deliver robust insights
  • Stakeholder Consultation: Develop and participate in presentations and consultations with health plan leaders on data capabilities, methodologies, and performance results
  • Documentation & Governance: Document data logic and plan methodology used in analyses; ensure reproducibility and transparency of results
  • Business Acumen: Understand Medicaid business operations and state plan methodologies to enable smooth partnership with business leaders across 10+ markets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Healthcare Quality, IT, BIS, Medical Affairs, and Market & Organizational leadership on data integration and quality initiatives.

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of data analytics experience (healthcare/Medicaid preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience with healthcare data (e.g., enrollment, claims, HEDIS) in a data warehouse environment; GCP/BigQuery preferred
  • 3+ years using advanced SQL to query and manipulate large datasets in a relational database environment, including integrating multiple data sources
  • 3+ years creating dashboards and data visualizations that drive decisions (Tableau preferred)
  • 3+ years creating reports and pivot tables in Excel
  • Healthcare quality measure familiarity (e.g., HEDIS, CAHPS, P4P/quality incentive programs) preferred
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences (written and verbal)
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills; adept at probing into granular details of big data and complex technical processes
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across teams; organized, attentive to detail, able to manage conflicting priorities, work independently under general direction, and meet commitments
