About the Role:

This position is being recruited in anticipation of a contract award. The Data & AI Analytics Lead provides technical leadership for enterprise reporting, data management, business intelligence, and AI-enabled analytics capabilities supporting the Department of War Education (DoWEA) Education Platform modernization initiative. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and governing data solutions that enable informed decision-making, improve operational visibility, and support enterprise analytics across instructional and business systems.

Location:

  • Washington, DC Metropolitan Area (Hybrid)
  • Candidates must reside in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. This position follows a hybrid work schedule and requires onsite support at a Government-designated location in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.


Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Applicants selected for this position must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a Government background investigation and all applicable security requirements.


Salary Range:

  • The anticipated salary range for this position is $80,000-$170,000 annually.
  • Final compensation has not yet been determined and will be based on factors including contract award, position requirements, the candidate's qualifications, experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using modern business intelligence platforms.
  • Define and implement data architecture, governance frameworks, master data management strategies, and data quality processes.
  • Develop AI-ready data pipelines and analytics capabilities supporting enterprise decision-making and mission outcomes.
  • Design and optimize data models, data warehouses, and lakehouse architectures.
  • Collaborate with functional, technical, and Government stakeholders to integrate instructional, operational, and administrative data sources.
  • Establish data governance practices to ensure data quality, security, privacy, and compliance with Federal standards.
  • Provide technical leadership for Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and advanced analytics initiatives.
  • Support the development of dashboards, metrics, reporting frameworks, and analytical solutions.
  • Evaluate emerging data and AI technologies and recommend solutions to improve enterprise capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting enterprise analytics initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the Department of War Education (DoWEA).
  • Experience implementing enterprise business intelligence, reporting, and data integration solutions.
  • Experience developing data governance and analytics strategies.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
