About the Role:The Senior Web Developer leads the design, development, modernization, and maintenance of enterprise websites and web applications supporting the U.S. Department of Education. This position develops secure, accessible, high-performing web solutions while supporting legacy and modern web technologies.
Location:- Washington, DC Metropolitan Area (Hybrid)
- Candidates must reside in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia.
- This position follows a hybrid work schedule and requires onsite support at a Government-designated location in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Clearance Requirements:- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Applicants selected for this position must be able to obtain and maintain a High-Risk Public Trust clearance.
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a Government background investigation and all applicable security requirements.
Salary Range: - The anticipated salary range for this position is $80,000-$155,000 annually.
- Final compensation has not yet been determined and will be based on factors including contract award, position requirements, the candidate's qualifications, experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.
Responsibilities:- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise web applications and websites.
- Develop solutions using ASP.NET, .NET Core, C#, Classic ASP, SQL Server, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Drupal.
- Implement responsive and Section 508-compliant user interfaces.
- Support application modernization, enhancements, bug fixes, and production deployments.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, database, and business teams.
- Participate in code reviews, DevOps/CI-CD activities, and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
- Support secure software development and AWS-hosted applications.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 8+ years of enterprise web development experience.
- U.S. Department of Education experience is REQUIRED.
- Strong experience with ASP.NET, .NET Core, C#, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS3, and Drupal.
- Experience with AWS-hosted applications and secure software development.
- Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards and Federal web requirements.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a High Risk Public Trust.
