AECOM is actively seeking a
Dallas Water Resources Team Lead to drive the growth, technical excellence, and project delivery of our water resources practice across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. This hybrid leadership role will be responsible for developing client relationships, leading business development efforts, mentoring technical staff, and overseeing the successful delivery of complex water resources projects. This is a role based in AECOM's Dallas office, with the possibility of some work being performed remotely.
The ideal candidate will be a recognized leader in H&H modeling, floodplain management, stormwater management, and water resources engineering with an established network of local, state, and federal clients in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. This individual will serve as a seller/doer who combines technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to expand AECOM's market presence and deliver innovative solutions to our clients.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field, plus 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months of work.
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of leadership experience.
- 5+ years of proven Project Management experience.
- PMP Certification or comparable project management credentials preferred.
- Experience or interest in business operations and internal finance.
- Advanced knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software and GIS platforms, including HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ArcGIS Pro, and related engineering tools.
- Strong team leader with excellent interpersonal skills who effectively works with and supports team members.
- Collaborative; shares knowledge, experience, ideas, and expertise for the betterment of the wider group and self.
- Is diligent and able to work consistently to deadlines under tight time frames.
- Good understanding of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex market and state agencies, and ability to support marketing efforts in pursuing work.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to technical audience and public stakeholders.
- Willingness to participate in professional organizations such as ASCE, TFMA, ASFPM or related industry associations.
