Full Job Description
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. You will provide expert-level technical leadership for the Cybersecurity Assessment Program, solving exceptionally complex cybersecurity challenges and shaping long-range technical directions. You will work independently developing innovative solutions, defining new methodologies, and guiding advanced cybersecurity concepts into final products.This position will be onsite at Ft. Belvoir, VA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Advanced Cybersecurity Analysis and Problem Solving: Investigates and resolves unusually complex cybersecurity issues by applying advanced principles, theories, and analytical techniques.
  • Technical Expertise and Program Leadership: Serves as a senior technical expert for the Cybersecurity Assessment Program, providing direction, interpretation, and strategic guidance on highly technical matters.
  • Innovation and Research Development: Contributes to and develops new cybersecurity concepts, methodologies, and technological ideas, guiding them through research, development, and implementation.
  • Independent Execution and Strategic Initiative: Operates under broad, consultative direction, frequently initiating assignments independently and determining the course of action required to meet long-term objectives.
  • Cybersecurity Tools and Standards Development: Evaluates and recommends cybersecurity software tools, assists in defining tool requirements and selection criteria, and develops product-specific STIGs based on DISA SRGs.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Interaction: Demonstrates outstanding written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information to diverse stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
  • Relevant certification meeting DOD 8570.01 IAM level III
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of IT experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years of IA experience
  • Strong knowledge of RMF
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for resolving security issues
  • Knowledge and understanding of DOD security regulations, DISA STIGs
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in a related field of study
Clearance Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must possess a DoD Secret clearance
  • Must be able to obtain customer suitability
