American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc. seeks Cybersecurity Engineers to design, develop, test, and debug software applications and systems to meet information security, cybersecurity, and functional requirements.

Responsibilities

Build software using consistent development practices, including documentation and collaboration with peers and leaders. Adhere to security and regulatory best practices to ensure compliance throughout the software development lifecycle. Conduct code reviews and automated testing to ensure high-quality, secure code standards. Support and monitor software across development, integration, and production environments to maintain performance and reliability. Draft and maintain technical documentation and report on assessments, findings, and remediation efforts to improve the organization's security posture.

Qualifications

Position requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, and 2 years of experience with data analysis, data profiling, and support monitoring and reporting on user access. Experience must include 2 years of experience with each of the following: applying information security concepts and technologies, including networking, network segmentation, security event management, and cloud services; supporting infrastructure build-out and configuration systems for performance and stress testing; debugging software components, including identifying, fixing, and verifying remediation of code defects; designing public and private cloud security architectures; analyzing user access data analysis and performing information security monitoring and reporting; and utilizing cloud security technologies, including AWS, Azure, Docker, GitHub Actions, GraphQL APIs, Iceberg, JavaScript, Kubernetes, Microsoft Active Directory Services (administration and security), Microsoft LDAP, MS SQL Server, NiFi, PostgreSQL, PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, security and stealth tools, security event monitoring tools, SOAP APIs, Spark, SQL Server Reporting Services, Starburst, Trino, and WAN technologies and protocols. Telecommuting is available up to 2 days per week.
