ResponsibilitiesPeraton seeks a
Cybersecurity Engineer to support Department of War Cyber Defense Command (DCDC) with defensive cyberspace operations and AI cyber security support.
Location: Fort Meade, MD.
In this role, you will perform technical cybersecurity engineering including hardening validation, security architecture implementation, and advanced threat analysis.
Primary Responsibilities:- Perform technical hardening validation
- Implement security controls and configurations
- Conduct security architecture reviews
- Support Zero Trust implementation
- Analyze advanced threats and vulnerabilities
- Develop security automation solutions
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:- Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD. Will consider Associate with +10 or HS with +12 years of experience
- Any IA Cybersecurity certification, such as Security+, Security X, CISSP, CCNA, CySA+, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, Cloud+, SCYBER or equivalent.
- Deep technical security engineering skills
- Experience with security hardening and STIGs
- Knowledge of network and application security
- Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell)
- Experience with cloud security
- U.S Citizenship required
- DoD TS with ability to obtain/maintain SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 8 years of specific experience
Target Salary Range$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
