The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

Pay Range: $108,200.00 - $162,400.00

Job Description

The current information security landscape is technically complex and constantly changing. The IT Security Analyst II uses their knowledge of current security methods and standards to gather operational information and assess and analyze tools, systems, and processes in defense of applications, systems, and networks and collaborate with Infrastructure and business teams.

Join a security-focused team where your expertise in threat hunting, vulnerability management, and penetration testing strengthens our ability to detect and respond to evolving cyber threats. In this role, you will partner closely with the SOC team to proactively identify risks, investigate anomalies, and improve detection and response capabilities across the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Proactively hunt for threats using SIEM, IDS/IPS, and threat intelligence to identify indicators of compromise and anomalous behavior

  • Analyze security alerts, logs, and telemetry data to detect emerging attack patterns and support incident investigations

  • Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses and validate exploitability

  • Collaborate with SOC teams to refine alerting logic and improve incident response workflows

  • Develop and enhance security use cases aligned to the MITRE ATT&CK framework

  • Partner with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to prioritize remediation efforts based on risk and business impact

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security tools

  • Experience in vulnerability management, penetration testing, and threat hunting methodologies

  • Ability to analyze network traffic, logs, and security events to identify potential threats

  • Working knowledge of intrusion detection techniques, incident response, and digital forensics

  • Familiarity with cloud security concepts and AWS core services

  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as NIST, ISO, PCI-DSS, and data privacy standards

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Bonus Points

  • Experience developing detection rules and security use cases aligned to MITRE ATT&CK

  • Experience recommending additional security requirements and safeguards

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CCSP, CCSK, or AWS certifications

Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 3 years of Information Security experience

  • Experience analyzing SIEM, network, event, security, and IDS alert logs

  • Experience identifying and remediating vulnerabilities

  • Experience working with MITRE ATT&CK Framework
