Full Job Description
About this opportunity

Ericsson is looking for a Customer Solutions Director, Cloud Infrastructure, based in Plano, TX, to own the end-to-end technical solution for AT&T cloud infrastructure engagements - from early solution shaping through deployment, lifecycle management, and operational readiness. This role ensures solutions are technically sound, commercially viable, aligned with Ericsson's portfolio strategy, and tailored to AT&T's network evolution roadmap. The ideal candidate will understand both Ericsson's full-stack Cloud Native Infrastructure Solution (CNIS) model and alternative shared-responsibility models, and can clearly communicate trade-offs across performance, lifecycle, security, cost, and time-to-market.

What you will do
  • Serve as Customer Solution Responsible for AT&T cloud infrastructure engagements, spanning CNIS, compute hardware, server platforms, networking, storage, and lifecycle management
  • Lead technical discussions and workshops with AT&T across CNIS, Kubernetes, hyperscaler platforms, third-party CaaS, Cloud RAN infrastructure, and cloud-native evolution
  • Own technical relationships with third-party vendors and suppliers, coordinating with Ericsson teams to resolve architecture gaps, integration issues, and roadmap dependencies
  • Manage ecosystem and open-source community engagements with AT&T to align priorities around cloud infrastructure strategy and roadmap outcomes
  • Provide technology thought leadership by shaping cloud infrastructure strategy and communicating emerging technology implications across AI, CNIS, Kubernetes, and telecom cloud ecosystems
  • Translate AT&T business, operational, and technical requirements into end-to-end cloud infrastructure solutions aligned with Ericsson portfolio roadmaps
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across Ericsson sales, delivery, product, support, and engineering teams to ensure solution consistency and customer-ready execution

The skills you bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field; Master's preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in virtualization, cloud infrastructure, telecom cloud, or large-scale operator network solution engineering
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes, container orchestration, cloud-native infrastructure, CaaS operating models, and operational automation
  • Strong working knowledge of Ericsson CNIS, including CaaS, hardware management, lifecycle management, and observability
  • Familiarity with hyperscaler cloud and edge infrastructure models (public, hybrid, and on-premises) for telecom workloads
  • Experience with third-party CaaS platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift, including shared-responsibility models and operational trade-offs
  • Strong technical knowledge of server platforms, COTS hardware, CPU architecture, hardware acceleration, storage, and infrastructure performance
  • Working knowledge of GPUs, accelerator lifecycle considerations, and their role in AI and telecom workload performance
  • Solid understanding of routing, switching, network fabrics, VLANs, and connectivity requirements for telecom cloud deployments
  • Ability to explain complex architecture decisions and trade-offs clearly to both technical and executive audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multi-stakeholder, multi-vendor environments with strong ownership and follow-through
