Full Job Description
The Customer Product Owner will serve as a Business Functional Architect responsible for shaping, defining, and governing end-to-end customer engagement and commercial capabilities across Chevron's Fuels and Specialty businesses. This role bridges business, technology, and delivery teams and drives evolution of customer platforms including Dynamics 365 Sales and Service Center Operations.

This role will operate across multiple Sales and Service product lines to connect business priorities, customer and user needs, future-state process design, and delivery execution. The role is expected to see across end-to-end customer, sales, and service workflows, identify common capability patterns, reconcile business-specific needs, and help shape scalable solutions that deliver measurable outcomes across the groups we support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and own the product vision and roadmap for customer and commercial capabilities across Sales and Service product lines.
  • Manage and prioritize backlog items based on business value, customer/user outcomes, strategic alignment, and delivery readiness.
  • Act as a functional architect by translating business processes, pain points, and future-state needs into scalable digital solutions.
  • Connect business requirements, future-state process design, functional specifications, and user stories into a clear build-ready backlog.
  • Partner with Sales Enablement, Service Center stakeholders, IT, Enterprise Architecture, and delivery partners to maintain traceability from business need to design to delivery outcome.
  • Align solutions to Dynamics 365 Sales, Service, and related customer engagement capabilities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Chevron Fuels and Specialty Sales commercial models, Service Center Operations, and customer engagement workflows.
  • Identify common capability patterns across business groups while recognizing where business-specific needs require tailored solutions.
  • Ensure delivery of measurable business outcomes, adoption readiness, and continuous improvement.


Core Capabilities
  • Strong B2B commercial, energy domain, and customer engagement workflow experience across Sales, Service, and Order-to-Cash processes.
  • Product ownership, roadmap management, backlog prioritization, and value-based delivery.
  • Functional architecture mindset with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable solution designs.
  • Solid understanding of CRM technology, preferably Dynamics 365 Sales and Service.
  • Strong stakeholder communication, facilitation, and influencing skills across business, IT, and delivery partners.
  • Ability to connect fragmented inputs across business groups into clear priorities, design decisions, and delivery outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education / Certifications
  • MBA or advanced degree in Business, Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Product Management, Agile, Business Analysis, or Change Management certification.


Experience
  • Experience with CRM and customer engagement platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Salesforce.
  • Experience leading large-scale digital transformation programs.
  • Experience defining future-state capabilities, operating models, functional specifications, and customer experiences.

  • Strong systems thinking with the ability to connect end-to-end business processes across multiple functions, products, and stakeholders.
  • Experience applying design thinking, journey mapping, and process optimization techniques.
  • Ability to shape future-state digital solutions and experiences that enable business strategy and customer outcomes.
