A Snapshot of Your Day
In this role within the Generator Order Management team, you will be essential in processing customer orders for large generators by translating technical requirements into manufacturable engineering designs. Your responsibilities will focus on three core areas: technical order engineering, project and workflow management, and cross-functional technical collaboration. This ensures that customer specifications are accurately designed and efficiently managed through internal processes, with support from departments like manufacturing and quality. • Perform engineering calculations and apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to ensure robust, production-ready designs while selecting appropriate materials and components based on performance and cost.
  • Manage the engineering lifecycle for assigned customer orders, ensuring timely completion of design and documentation deliverables while utilizing Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems to track progress.
  • Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, quality assurance, and purchasing teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure design feasibility, participating in DFMEA and design reviews to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to team members on complex design problems and support the resolution of technical issues during manufacturing or testing.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is required to ensure a strong foundational knowledge in engineering principles relevant to the role.
