Responsibilities

Howmet Engine Systems is currently seeking a seasoned Customer Account Manager for our Rings Segment. This position will be based out of Cincinnati, OH.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage the Rings GE account as well as the identification, development & sustainability of smaller regional customer accounts, in line with the business strategy, ensuring strategies optimize Howmet Engine Systems (HES) business objectives.
  • Support development and execution of sales strategy for HES, in coordination with other commercial staff members and various resources within HES and marketing.
  • Establish challenging objectives to meet HES Rings growth and profitability strategy and target new business within both existing & developing markets, ensuring priorities are appropriately defined, with effective action plans.
  • Work closely with customers and Marketing to provide support and manage projects for the strategic customer, and compile and submit accurate sales reports/forecasts in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with various HES Rings locations and customers to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide support for field training activities for team members and customers.
  • Participate in development of designs, configurations, project scheduling and installations, within the limits of established policies and procedures, and coordinate communication with customers and the market to ensure they have up to date product information.
  • Review and manage contract requirements to ensure they are within limits of established policies and procedures, including commercial and intellectual property (patent, trademark, licensing) requirements. Manage contract compliance of assigned customers to insure budget attainment.
  • Coordinate support to customers and suppliers for a wide range of products and applications.
  • Provide complete accurate transmittal of contract information throughout the organization.
  • Coordinate with Central Estimating to ensure timely submittal of quotes and packages. Propose pricing/margin necessary to receive award. Follow up with customers on all quote activity.
  • Lead multi-year contract negotiations for assigned customer accounts.
  • Prepare and deliver customer presentations as needed. Coordinate commercial, technical and market details for product and sales communications, as needed.
  • Establish positive relationships with customer representatives and managers in procurement, logistics, engineering, program and project offices, and other personnel to convince customers of desirability and practicability of products or services offered.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and environmental health and safety rules. Work in a safe manner that promotes the health and well-being of the individual and environment. Comply with all EHS rules and regulations and supervisory instructions. Report all incidents including injuries, spills, fires, property damage, and near misses to their supervisor.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the aerospace industry in a customer facing role required.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or Business highly desired.
  • Knowledge of Aerospace forging and machining processes preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of aircraft engine components, materials, technical drawings.
  • Experience and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills; able to effectively problem solve and deliver on objectives.
  • Display innovative thinking and creativity.
  • Flexible and able to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated dependability and ability to work independently and with large teams.
  • Ability to multi-task.
