For eligible current federal employees, a relocation incentive of up to 15% is available. Eligibility for a relocation incentive requires proof of a change in residence and an assignment at a worksite in a different geographic area greater than or equal to 50 miles from the prior worksite. Employees must sign a written service agreement completing a specified period of employment with the FBI at the new duty station. Recruitment and relocation incentives cannot be combined.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS This assignment requires frequent and recurring travel. Fatigue and stress factor is high due to working environments, which requires employees to prepare for deployment to various locations with varying environments. In additional, employee maybe required to be on call 24 hours-a-day.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Certain aspects of the work are performed in climate-controlled settings, however incumbents may be deployed to a various hostile war zones with unfavorable terrain and environmental weather conditions.
MAJOR DUTIES - Plans, identifies, acquires, and deploys resources needed to anticipate, prevent, and/or resolve a crisis.
- Applies pertinent laws, policies, and precedents which effect the use of support resources from the crisis management program.
- Supports training for FBI and other Federal, state, and local law enforcement personnel regarding critical incidents and major investigations.
- Deploys both domestically and internationally to assist in crisis management planning/command post facilitation.
- Assists in crisis management training by providing basic guidance on command post structure, component missions, design implementation and standard operating procedures.
- Assists in the design and development of training exercises by providing a basic understanding of FBI investigative and intelligence gathering techniques.
- Participates in formal interagency committees, conferences, task forces and working groups. Initiates and maintains liaison with participants from interagency groups.
- Communicates clearly and effectively in writing, in order to advise and guide executive management.

Specialized Experience (SE) GS-11: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-9 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
- Provided analytical support for crisis events, crisis support, or special event monitoring
- Prepared reports and provided oral briefings to all levels of management
- Collaborated with internal and external partners
- Assisted in developing or presenting training to internal and external partners
GS-12: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
- Created or presented training sessions to educate internal and external entities
- Refined work methods and techniques for analysis of specific issues or resolution of problems
- Provided investigative research and analytical support for crisis events, crisis support, or special event monitoring
Education All degrees must be from an accredited college or university. Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:
GS-11: Applicant must have a Ph.D. OR equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related.
GS-12: Education
may not be substituted for SE.
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the above requirements provided you can show foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States.
