About the Credit SME roleWe are seeking a Credit SME to join our Operations team in our brand-new Austin office. We are looking for someone who has extensive experience and knowledge on the US payments/banking ecosystem to lead the operational management and optimisation of our credit card products.
The role requires deep understanding of the credit card transaction lifecycle and the Credit SME will support daily operations, dispute management and credit cycle processes.
What you will be doing as a Credit SME- Working with business readiness teams to ensure the US credit standard operating procedure is fit for purpose
- Upskilling internal resources on US credit card processing
- Performing detailed analysis on the operational and implementation business requirements to ensure they support US processing
- Serving as the operational expert on US credit card payment rails
- Supporting the design and creation of the standard operating procedures for the implementation and operational teams
- Creating a learning strategy to educate operational teams on US credit processing
- Contributing to the refinement and documentation of internal processes, procedures and best practices to continuously improve our ways of working
- Maintaining and enforcing operational best practices for US credit clients
What you will bring to the Credit SME position- Extensive knowledge on the US payments and banking ecosystem
- Previous experience working at a bank, issuer processor or payment network/scheme
- Deep understanding of transaction systems, fraud prevention tools, chargebacks and payment gateways
- Strong knowledge of credit card transaction flows, statement and billing cycles, payment posting and interest/fee logic
- Experience of being a central point of contact for all things US credit payments related particularly for operations teams
- Strong relationship building and the ability to work cross-functionally
- Experience owning operational learning strategy for credit card processing in the US to upskill internal resources, sharing knowledge and best practices
