Full Job Description
Credit Marketing & Communications, Marketing Manager - New York

We are seeking a Marketing Manager to support the go-to-market strategy and execution for Morningstar DBRS' credit ratings offerings, including web subscription products. Reporting to the AVP, Marketing Strategy, this role helps develop marketing strategies and drives the execution of these strategies: defining product and audience insights, building and running integrated campaigns, developing content and sales enablement assets, and managing day-to-day campaign execution and optimization across teams and channels. This role is a great opportunity to drive growth and make a meaningful impact on one of Morningstar's largest and fastest-growing business units.

Success in this role requires strong product marketing experience. You bring a proven ability to develop and execute go-to-market plans, translate complex products into clear and compelling market narratives, and leverage data to optimize marketing performance. You are collaborative, detail-oriented, and results-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:

Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution
  • Support the development of go-to-market strategies for credit ratings products across priority markets and segments - including web subscription products on dbrs.morningstar.com
  • Translate product strategy into actionable launch plans, campaigns, and commercial programs that drive demand and revenue
  • Partner with Business Development to align marketing priorities with market opportunities and client needs

Positioning, Messaging & Insights
  • Define target audience segments and buyer personas for credit ratings offerings to inform marketing, messaging, and go-to-market strategies
  • Develop clear, differentiated positioning and messaging frameworks across ratings offerings, tailored to key audiences (issuers, intermediaries, investors)
  • Conduct ongoing market, client, and competitive analysis to inform strategy and refine value propositions
  • Analyze website activity and funnel performance metrics (traffic, engagement, registration, and conversion) to identify opportunities and optimize marketing campaigns and subscription growth programs

Demand Generation & Sales Enablement
  • Design and execute integrated, data-driven demand generation campaigns for credit ratings products across social, search, email, and other relevant channels
  • Partner with Digital Marketing to optimize channel mix and campaign performance
  • Collaborate with Events Marketing to develop event strategies (conferences, roundtables, panel discussions, webinars) and support the execution of these events
  • Own email marketing strategy and execution, including audience segmentation, campaign development, testing, optimization, and performance measurement to drive demand and nurture leads
  • Develop high-impact sales enablement assets (pitch decks, one-pagers, narratives, case studies, and data use cases)

Content & Thought Leadership
  • Develop and execute strategies to distribute research, commentary, and strategic content to drive engagement and demand
  • Translate ratings research and insights into commercially relevant narratives across marketing assets (emails, landing pages, social posts, newsletters, event promotion and campaign copy)

Performance Measurement & Optimization
  • Define KPIs and measure effectiveness of product marketing initiatives against pipeline, revenue, and engagement targets
  • Analyze campaign and program performance and identify optimization opportunities and improve ROI
  • Build performance reports and provide regular reporting and actionable insights to stakeholders

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Act as a key connector across Business Development, Product, Content, Marketing and Communication teams to ensure alignment and execution excellence
  • Manage the end-to-end campaign execution process from briefing, through launch, measurement and optimization - coordinating with Digital Marketing, Content, Events, Copy, and Design teams to bring campaigns to market on time and on brief
  • Partner day-to-day with cross-functional teams to manage inputs, reviews, and approvals across stakeholders with strong attention to detail and follow through

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in product marketing, preferably within credit, fixed income, financial data, or capital markets
  • Proven track record of developing go-to-market plans and executing multi-channel integrated campaigns that deliver measurable business impact - experience promoting web subscription products a plus
  • Experience developing and executing email marketing programs on Pardot, Eloqua, HubSpot, or other marketing automation platforms
  • Ability to translate complex, technical products into clear, compelling market narratives
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to inform decisions and optimize marketing performance
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with experience developing positioning, messaging, and senior-level content
