We are seeking a detail-oriented Credit Analyst in New York with a hybrid work schedule. ROLE SUMMARY Howden Private Capital's Credit team is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Credit Analyst to support the assessment, structuring, and execution of credit risk solutions for banks, private credit and financial institutions. This role operates with minimal supervision and exercises discretion in a credit support capacity, with responsibility for evaluating credit risk, analyzing credit risk documentation, reviewing relevant financial materials, and supporting insurance underwriting and execution across complex credit transactions. What will you be doing? - Credit Analysis - Analyze credit risk, deal structure and balance sheet impact. - Prepare analytical summaries of credit risk agreements and other credit transaction information for submission to relevant insurance markets. - Deal Execution & Underwriting Support - Facilitate execution of credit risk insurance placements in coordination with underwriting teams and stakeholders. - Evaluate purchase agreements and related documentation with focus on credit risk and balance sheet management. - Prepare and draft submission materials and internal credit memoranda. - Stakeholder & Process Management - Serve as a primary analytical liaison between Credit leadership, deal teams, insurers, and advisors. - Provide concise risk assessments to senior credit leadership. What are we looking for? Qualifications: - Proven experience in administrative support or similar role, preferably in a similar corporate environment. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally across teams and with clients. - Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial and administrative tasks. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle ad-hoc requests in a fast-paced environment. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other productivity tools. - Organizational and problem-solving skills to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks. - Flexibility and adaptability to support evolving business needs. - High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive information. Preferred Qualifications: - 1-3 years of experience in credit structuring, credit analysis, law, investment banking, private equity, or insurance. - Strong exposure to M&A transactions and diligence processes. - Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms. Compensation and Benefits The expected base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $100,000; actual base salary will be determined based on factors including candidate experience and work location. This role is classified as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). In addition to a competitive base salary, employees are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
