Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to support clients within the Public Sector and Higher Education space across the West Coast market. This role serves as a strategic partner to our clients; driving program optimization, deepening relationships, and delivering consultative solutions that enhance performance, efficiency, and long-term value.
What You'll DoDirectly and through Account Representatives, you will manage all relationship management activities for clients in the assigned business segment and geographical region. You will play a key role in growing spend volume and revenue by identifying new opportunities, strengthening existing partnerships, and delivering a high-touch client experience.
- Managing a portfolio of Public Sector and Higher Education commercial card clients across the West Coast
- Leading executive-level relationship reviews (in-person and virtual) and facilitating regular client status calls
- Serving as a strategic advisor by providing consultative insights on program performance, optimization opportunities, and industry best practices
- Growing portfolio performance through spend optimization, product expansion, and targeted program enhancements
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships
- Managing client contracts, rebates, and overall program strategy to ensure alignment with client objectives
- Supporting RFP responses, contract negotiations, and retention efforts to maintain and strengthen key partnerships
- Monitoring and enhancing the profitability of all assigned relationships
- Managing non-credit risk for the customer portfolio
- Driving cross-sell opportunities across all bank product groups and making appropriate referrals
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Seven to ten years of relationship management experiencePreferred Skills/Experience- Strong sales, relationship management and business development abilities
- Extensive knowledge of CPS products and services
- Broad knowledge of bank products and services that result in successfully capitalizing on all opportunities to expand relationships and sales of bank's products
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with individuals, groups, and vendors across the company to manage customer relationships
- Well-developed written communication and verbal presentation skills

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $111,600.00 - 136,400.00
