About Natixis Canada Branch:
Natixis Canada Branch (NCB) is part of Natixis Corporate and Investment Banking (Natixis CIB) and operates as a federally regulated Schedule III bank in Canada. With offices in Montreal and Toronto, NCB serves the domestic and international needs of Canadian clients through a dedicated coverage platform. Our goal is to build long-term relationships with key clients and prospects across the Natixis global network, offering product-neutral coverage that aligns with our clients' strategic objectives by connecting them with specialists from various sectors within Natixis

Role Overview:
NCB is seeking an Associate to join our dynamic team in Toronto. The Associate will provide essential analytical and transactional support to senior coverage bankers, focusing on Corporates, Financial Sponsors, Banks, Insurance Companies, and SSA clients. This role offers direct exposure to senior leadership and clients, along with opportunities for extensive training and career development at both domestic and international levels

He/She/They will:
  • Support the execution of the Canadian client strategy and manage a pipeline of financing opportunities.
  • Engage directly with clients to contribute to relationship management and assist in presenting product offerings.
  • Prepare marketing pitches for identified clients or potential transactions, both domestically and internationally.
  • Collect, maintain, and analyze client, market, and product data on an ongoing basis..
  • Collaborate with global coverage teams to prepare term sheets, conduct due diligence, and develop marketing materials.
  • Assist in drafting risk, credit, and management approval requests.
  • Conduct various analytical tasks for senior officers, including market studies and financial analysis.
  • Identify business and cross-selling opportunities while managing a pipeline of prospects.
  • Perform financial sensitivity analysis using financial models developed internally or provided by third-party sources, under the supervision of senior officers.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including various Natixis CIB business lines and specialist teams (e.g Credit Solutions, Debt Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, Infrastructure and Renewables, Real Estate, Aviation) to leverage cross-selling opportunities
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the internal legal department and Natixis support functions as necessary


Profil et compétences requises
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, accounting, or a related field.
• CFA or CPA designation (or enrollment) is considered an asset.
• 2-5 years of experience in the financial industry.
• Previous experience in corporate, commercial, or investment banking, preferably at a global financial institution.
• Fundamental knowledge of corporate banking, finance, capital markets, M&A, credit, and risk management.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Effective written communication and presentation skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, a sense of urgency, and a desire to learn.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid physical and virtual environment, meeting stringent deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with Bloomberg is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required.
