Your JobKoch Capabilities, LLC is seeking an experienced Commercial Counsel or Senior Counsel to support Koch's commodity manufacturing, marketing and trading businesses. In this role, you will work with the legal and compliance team and directly with the businesses on a wide range of matters, involving everything from contract drafting and negotiation, to dispute resolution and problem solving, strategic investments, international trade and regulatory compliance.
The position will sit in Wichita, Kansas, the global headquarters of Koch, Inc. This role is eligible for relocation assistance.
What You Will Do- Provide strategic legal counsel that enables commercial growth and value creation.
- Lead the drafting, negotiation, and execution of complex commercial agreements while balancing risk, opportunity, and business objectives.
- Collaborate with business, legal, and compliance partners to navigate regulatory requirements, international trade matters, and evolving legal challenges.
- Support strategic investments, commercial transactions, and dispute resolution efforts by delivering practical, solution-oriented legal guidance.
- Leverage technology, data, and AI-enabled tools to improve legal outcomes, drive efficiency, and help shape business strategy in a fast-paced global environment.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) - Experience as a practicing lawyer and active member of a state bar in good standing
- Experience in complex commercial matters
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort adopting and applying legal technology and AI tools to improve outcomes
