Full Job Description
Cost Manager
Role: The Company is looking to hire a business leader to fill growth needs of the Finance team. Directly reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will serve as financial support for the operations of a $150M global industrial services organization.
Responsibilities:
  • General financial support to one of the Regional Operational Directors.
  • Analyze financial performance and communicate to Operations and Senior Management; interpret financial results for users who must make economic or business decisions.
  • Design, build, and maintain detailed internal reporting to drive business awareness across global operations.
  • Own the quarterly forecast and annual budget process for the Region.
  • Develop and implement KPIs and dashboards for Operations support.
  • Working closely with Operations leaders, develop weekly forecasts and lead weekly forecast calls and communicate variance analysis.
  • Develop standardized monthly financial reporting for monthly Operations Reviews.
  • Build out new processes and procedures to improve efficiencies across the organization.
  • Identify financial improvement opportunities and collaborate with Operations on remediation plans.
  • Track financial impact of new initiatives, and ensure proper recording of Capex and Depreciation by site.
  • Implement ROI analysis/process:
    • New product/service ROIs; review actual performance vs ROI
    • Creation of AFI's (Authority for investment) to support CAPEX including justification and ROI calculations
  • Analyze potential acquisition target companies' financial performance and support due diligence efforts.
  • Support the month-end and year-end accounting close activities ensuring accurate and complete site and regional profit and loss.
  • Collaborate and communicate with all levels of the organization, including other analysts, operational managers, and the executive team.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Must be prepared to learn this business spending time working with operations in a heavy industrial business
  • Experience in heavy industry and mobile Caterpillar type equipment a plus
  • CPA, MBA not required but would be a plus
  • 5-7 years' experience in finance or accounting with at least 3 years in a financial planning role
  • Advanced Excel, Power Points and 3-statement financial modeling skills required
  • Analytical with strong IT skills specifically in ERP and related reporting/business intelligence systems
  • Demonstrated experience supporting industrial services, manufacturing facilities and operations
  • Ability to travel 25% to company locations
