Project Overview:

Fab 62 is an advanced semiconductor fabrication facility for Intel Corporation, located at Intel's Ocotillo campus in Chandler, Arizona. As part of this work, the M&T team is responsible for delivering the engineering, procurement, and construction scope required to complete and finish-out a leading-edge chipmaking facility - a highly demanding environment where precision, cleanliness, schedule certainty, and coordination across thousands of craft and professional personnel are essential to success. The project supports the continued expansion of domestic semiconductor manufacturing capacity, contributing to a more resilient technology supply chain while creating significant opportunity for the local Arizona workforce. Joining the Fab 62 team means contributing directly to one of the most strategically important construction efforts in the United States and helping deliver the infrastructure behind the next generation of microelectronics.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will align the entire project on cost strategy, challenge the forecast assumptions across functions and lead discussions on risk exposure, major variances and funding gaps. As the owner of the total cost outcome, you will drive consistency, accuracy and client alignment. Your data analysis will provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges, and your leadership will be essential to project success. #LI-SM2

Major Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the cost function at the project level.
  • Acts as the primary interface with the client for all budget and cost-related matters.
  • Ensures budget integrity, forecast accuracy and system compliance.
  • Provides guidance to the Cost and Trend Leads.
  • Identifies cost trends for management attention.
  • Ensures work is completed as scheduled.
  • Supports project organizational and administrative activities.


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience and demonstrated skill in directing cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, cost control, and cost analysis, in the client offices and the home office.
  • Experience and demonstrated skill in establishing criteria for Project Controls activities.
  • Skilled in providing direction, personnel administration, and training of technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems.
  • Knowledge of current industry and technical developments.
  • Demonstrated flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and/or changing priorities.
  • Must have excellent communications and presentation skills to combine sound analytical cost engineering principles with the ability to summarize, reach appropriate conclusions, and implement cost containment plans.
