Full Job Description
Title:
Cost Control Manager

KBR is looking for a Cost Control Manager to lead project cost management activities and maintains oversight of budgets, commitments, expenditures, forecasts, and trends. This role provides financial visibility to client and PMC leadership and ensures cost performance is continuously monitored against approved project objectives.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Lead project cost management activities, including budgets, commitments, expenditures, forecasting, and cost performance reporting.
  • Monitor project performance against approved budgets, identifying trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain estimate-at-completion (EAC), cash flow, and funding forecasts.
  • Support change management activities by evaluating cost impacts and maintaining budget alignment.
  • Provide cost analysis, forecasting insights, and performance reporting to client and PMC leadership.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure accurate cost collection, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Lead and develop the cost control team while promoting cost management best practices.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of cost control, cost management, forecasting, or project controls experience supporting major capital projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, commitments, expenditures, forecasting, and cost reporting.
  • Strong understanding of cost management, forecasting methodologies, project accounting interfaces, and performance analysis.
  • Experience supporting large industrial, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, life sciences, energy, or infrastructure projects.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or other regulated manufacturing projects.
  • Experience in an Owner's Representative, PMC, EPCM, or Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT) environment.
  • Experience supporting large projects with multiple phases exceeding $500 million TIC.
  • Proficiency with EcoSys, SAP, Oracle, Power BI, or similar project cost management and reporting systems.
  • Professional certifications such as CCP®, EVP®, PMP®, or equivalent project controls credentials.
