SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Prepare accurate and timely proposals in response to Requests for Quotation (RFQ's) and Requests for Proposal (RFP's).
- Perform detailed cost analysis, including direct/indirect costs, labor rates, material costs and proper burden allocation to support accurate pricing decisions
- Provide cost analysis results to assist senior management in decision making or other financial initiatives.
- Perform variance analysis between actual and standard costs.
- Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Provide productivity analysis.
- Review and analyze product margins for all customers and support Sales department with timely reports.
- Review reporting for trends and investigate abnormalities.
- Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future products.
- Partner with Operations to update and review standard and actual costs.
- Partner with Contracts to submit proposals and respond to customer inquiries in an accurate and timely manner
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Engineering to address issues related to cost realism.
- Partner with Director of Finance and Controller to provide accurate data to auditors as needed in support of Request for Information (RFI's)
REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES - Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel® to perform complex data analysis, develop cost models, and prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Ability to observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources.
- Being able to identify the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
- Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
- Use relevant information and individual judgement to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
- Knowledge of and experience with ProPricer pricing software is preferred
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- BA or Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.
- Experience with Government contracts and FAR/DFAR compliance is a plus.
- 2-3 years of experience in this field is preferred.
- Ability to read, speak and write in English.
