Job Title: Corporate Development M&A Specialist Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid - 4 days in office per week)Job Type: Full-Time, Salary
What will you be doing?As a
Mergers & Acquisition Specialist on the Corporate Development team you will work with a lean, high-impact team originating, evaluating and executing acquisitions of early education centers. You will be involved in the whole lifecycle of the deal with core responsibility for the financial analysis of a transaction. In addition, you will support corporate finance initiatives including market research, treasury, annual budget, forecasting, strategic planning, and asset management.
Other responsibilities include: - Supporting all aspects of M&A execution (opportunity assessment, valuations, due diligence, completion and integration planning)
- Identifying and tracking of acquisition targets through research, analysis, and other methods
- Building robust financial models to assess acquisition opportunities and presenting concise findings to senior stakeholders
- Preparing high-quality internal presentations to support senior management review and internal approval processes
- Supporting workstream management by liaising with lawyers, consultants, accountants, and other external professionals
- Experience with multi-unit operations in the education industry or similar is a plus

Required Skills:- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field
- 4+ years of relevant experience (either from accountancy, corporate finance/M&A roles or strategy-related roles)
- Excellent financial modeling skills with a high degree of accuracy
- Working knowledge of accounting principles, both US and Canada
- CFA, CA, CBV designation an asset
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen;
- Proficiency with common software packages (MS Office, QuickBooks, NetSuite, mapping software, market data, etc.);
- Excellent oral communication. A clear and concise writer;
- Interacts professionally and amicably with vendors, team members and other professionals
