Responsibilities Mintz is looking for an associate to join our corporate practice in San Diego. Candidates must have the ability to provide efficient legal service both independently and as part of a team, be willing to quickly integrate into our robust national corporate practice, commit to providing the highest quality of client service in support of a broad range of complex transactions and be dedicated to professional development consistent with this on-track partnership position. Strong academic credentials, excellent critical reasoning skills and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts are required.
Candidates should have 2+ years of transactional experience with the ability to quickly integrate and support the firm's mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and venture capital practices. Experience working on private equity transactions is preferred.
Collaboration with team members is an important component of any role at Mintz. Therefore, the firm requires working from the office approximately 60% of the time in accordance with the firm's published guidelines.
Qualifications - Graduated with a JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school
- Must be admitted or eligible for admission in California
- Must have 2+ years of M&A, securities, venture capital and/or private equity experience, ideally gained at a leading national or international law firm
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Professionalism in working and engaging with clients and colleagues
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and balance competing responsibilities
- Ability to stay organized and exercise extreme attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in team settings
The salary range for this position is $235,000 to $310,000. This position is bonus eligible.
