JOB DESCRIPTION

Moore & Van Allen's Charlotte office is seeking a Corporate Associate to join its Corporate practice group. This group represents both public and privately owned companies in a variety of business matters, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial contract issues and corporate governance counsel.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of corporate transactional experience, including meaningful M&A experience. A strong business background and the ability to quickly grasp business concepts are highly valued. This position involves performance of due diligence review, management of disclosure schedules and document preparation for closing of M&A transactions as well as reviewing, drafting, and negotiating principal and ancillary agreements related to supply, purchase, service and other commercial transactions. The candidate will be engaged in a wide variety of M&A, corporate and commercial projects and will have significant client contact, providing pragmatic counsel. Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, a willingness to ask questions and learn, and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment. Regular office attendance required.
