Full Job Description
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
  • Experience with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) accounting standards in a public accounting or multinational public company setting.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (SAP) and in developing requirements for automated workflows, contracting or CRM workflows.
  • Proficiency in SQL coding across standard commercial databases (e.g Oracle, MySQL etc.).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, along with excellent business judgment, problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in SQL, Data analytics, BI tools.

You'll lead an accounting process from end-to-end. Other responsibilities include reconciling balance sheets and P&L accounts, and providing supplementary financial information for internal and external reports.

The Acquire to Retire (A2R) team manages the global accounting for Google's entire Capital Expenditure (Cap Ex) portfolio, manufacturing operations and related expenses. This infrastructure is at the foundation of Google - the global data centers, networks and integrating hardware and software that powers both our unique customer products and services and our internal operations. As a member of this team, you will find innovative ways to manage our complex set of transactions. As a Corporate (Corp) Assets Accountant you will be focused on running highly effective and efficient processes for Corp Assets Accounting, as well as month end close reporting and reconciliation processes related to Corporate Assets Accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Perform end-to-end month-end close tasks for Corporate Assets, including asset creation and retirements, Fixed Assets (FA) ledger close, capex accruals, journal entries, and timely issue resolution.
  • Deliver comprehensive monthly and quarterly flux analysis along with insightful financial commentary to support close reporting.
  • Support and maintain Fixed Assets, Inventory, and Project sub-ledgers for new entity setups, regular maintenance, and system performance enhancements.
  • Scale Accounting and Controls (A&C) and Accounting to Reporting (A2R) processes by designing and deploying robust automation solutions to improve efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Manage and prioritize project requests aligned with risk and efficiency goals, ensuring strict adherence to internal controls, audit standards, and reconciliation quality.
