Full Job Description
Role Impact:

This role will take ownership of assigned corporate overhead accounting and reporting tasks as follows:

    • Prepare monthly corporate overhead files and record journal entries
    • Process bi-weekly payroll entries and reconciliation
    • Responsible for corporate recharges to operating properties
    • Prepare monthly sales tax reporting, file remittances, process monthly sales tax and federal tax payments

  • Support monthly G&A reporting, forecasting and budgeting process for corporate departments including GL analysis and variance commentary

    • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, wire transfers and files for assigned corporate entities

  • Responsible for monthly services fees processing
  • Responsible for quarterly fee income allocation reporting
  • Prepare monthly transaction costs file

    • Compile information related to audit queries
    • Various special duties and ad hoc tasks to support the team as assigned by senior management

What you need to succeed:

  • University degree in Business or Accounting/Finance with intent to pursue a career in Accounting;
  • Professional accounting designation completed or in progress (CPA or equivalent) is an asset;
  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience in real estate is an asset;
  • Fully computer literate, with extensive Excel skills;
  • Familiarity with IFRS is an asset;
  • Knowledge of Yardi Voyager an asset.


Starting base salary for this job level may range from $68,610 to $91,480. The actual base salary offered will consider several factors including, but not limited to the role, experiences, skills & qualifications, location, market and internal considerations; with this context, CF reserves the right to pay above this range. Cadillac Fairview offers a competitive total rewards package in addition to base pay which may include a performance - based incentive plan, a comprehensive pension and benefits plan, paid time off including vacation, well-being & volunteer days and support for continued growth and development.
