About the Role

The Coordinator, Student Experience and Development coordinates and develops SFU Beedie Undergraduate Student Experience and Development's programming, including experiential learning, student engagement, orientation, and transition services and programs. Using experiential learning theories and best practices, this position designs, develops, implements, and assesses programs activities that enhances the student experience and provides experiential learning opportunities that support student engagement and development inside and outside the classroom. This position also supports the enrichment of student experience by creating and maintaining collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders, including faculty, external organizations, other SFU and Beedie School of Business (BSB) units, current students and alumni, as well as enhances programs and services effectiveness and excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Education, or a related discipline, and three years of related experience within student engagement and development, experiential learning, education and community outreach, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and conflict management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent knowledge of student development, success, and advising theories, best practices and strategies.
