About the Role
The Coordinator – Procurement Operations is an integral part of Latham’s Procurement & Expense Management team. This role will be responsible for supporting the procurement function by managing purchase requisitions, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring timely and cost‑effective acquisition of goods and services, while coordinating requisitions for supplies, services, and equipment, including reviewing requisitions for bid instructions, purchase orders, vendor selection, and specifications. This role will be located in our Global Services office in Downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
- Following up on purchase orders to determine delivery times and clarify back‑orders, providing such information to individuals within the firm, canceling orders or expediting delivery as possible, and authorizing modifications to ensure the firm receives equipment and supplies of appropriate quality and quantity in a timely manner
- Resolving purchase order, invoicing, and delivery complaints and problems
- Maintaining the procurement database, including inputting purchase orders, bid documentation, specifications, correspondence, and purchase requisitions
- Maintaining accurate records and files of purchase requisitions, bid documentation, vendor files, and related materials
- Coordinating communication and resolution to purchase order, invoicing, and delivery problems with all departments and vendors involved
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

And have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A bachelors degree with a management or finance background, preferably
- A minimum of two (2) years of related purchasing or database experience, preferably
