Position Title:

Converting Supervisor

Pay Rate:

$83,300 - $97,200

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range. Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP's annual incentive plan.

Salaried Full-Time - 3rd Shift

The Job You Will Perform:
  • Direct supervisor to one assigned shift of hourly employees. Responsible for supervision, direction and leadership in safety, quality, productivity and engagement to ensure goals are met.
  • Support and promote workplace safety practices, by monitoring adherence to safety procedures including lockout/tagout, machine guarding and housekeeping standards. Effectively communicate safety expectations consistently and address safety concerns promptly.
  • Monitor production schedules, machine performance, downtime, speed, waste, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead operational troubleshooting efforts
  • Provide direction, coaching, training, and support to production employees in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Provide clear expectations, performance feedback, and accountability.
  • Monitor product quality indicators including board appearance, adhesive performance, moisture, and related quality measures.
  • Collaborate with quality and maintenance teams to identify and resolve quality concerns.
  • Partner with maintenance teams to support equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate production, downtime, waste, and labor records.
  • Lead and motivate employees by setting an example of superior behavior, attitude and performance to work efficiently and effectively, while ensuring a safe work environment, and a quality product.
  • Effectively communicate operational information in both oral and written format at all levels.
  • Actively promote and ensure compliance with safety, quality and other programs and initiatives utilized within the organization.
