Position Title:

Front Line Leader (FLL) - Pulp/Primary Products

Pay Rate:

$100,000-$110,000

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:
  1. Support area safety and environmental results
  2. Communicate and lead the application of facility policies and standards
  3. Coach safety in others and lead by example - hold meaningful safety meetings and observations, have active involvement in safety activities, maintain a clean and orderly work environment
  4. Coordinate and lead efforts to support high-performance work teams
  5. Communicate as needed with team members, peers, and mill leadership for resolution of safety, environmental, quality, cost, production, and personnel issues
  6. Leadership role in ensuring team member relations, efforts, and processes are in place to maximize team member engagement and results
  7. Lead, provide guidance, and/or support teams as needed to achieve small team goals, daily responsibilities, and overall achievement of mill goals
  8. Manage daily shift operations in assigned areas and with focus on continuous improvement
  9. Provide feedback, coaching, support and, when necessary, take corrective measures, to ensure all team members have a positive, productive, and safe work environment
  10. Hold meaningful one-to-one discussions with members of all Primary Products teams; set clear expectations for both team and individuals and motivate team members to strive for success
  11. Ensure shifts are adequately staffed and time properly recorded
  12. Provide leadership to troubleshoot operational issues
  13. Understand and meet internal customer requirements
  14. Assist other team members in the mill as necessary to minimize downtime and maintain quality
  15. Maintain and develop team relationships
  16. Complete the First Line Leader (FLL) Onboarding/Proficiency Curriculum
  17. Maintain a positive, upbeat attitude that instills confidence in personal leadership ability


The Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge You Will Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated and successful leadership ability in a manufacturing environment, including knowledge of and leadership in manufacturing safety practices
  • Must have a high level of integrity, energy, and leadership ability to develop and lead others
  • Demonstrated and successful ability to lead and continuously improve team performance in order to work injury-free, provide a quality product, and achieve world class productivity in support of a high-performance work system
  • Effective oral and written communications skills with proven ability to provide positive and improvement feedback, coaching opportunities, and take corrective measures as appropriate
  • Strong computer skills required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • College Degree Preferred
  • Excellent skills in organizing, planning, priority setting, and time management, with proven ability to adapt to sudden changes in the work environment
  • Ability to effectively facilitate problem solving or conflict resolution processes
