Qualifications

About the Job

We are currently seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer for a Machine Builder based in the Wyoming, MI area. This is a direct hire position with minimal travel and room for advancement. The ideal candidate will have experience in Allen Bradley PLC Programming and some AutoCAD Electrical experience. Robot programming experience is desired. Ideally looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience, but candidates with varying levels of PLC experience will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Integrate and program electrical systems for advanced automation machinery.
  • Design and program Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize control systems to resolve issues.
  • Retrofit existing systems and integrate new control technologies.
  • Incorporate robotics and vision systems into automation solutions.
  • Commission new machinery and conduct occasional service work.


Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Allen-Bradley PLCs, including MicroLogix and RSLogix 5000, Factory Talk, HMI, AutoCAD, and SCADA.
  • Experience with Data Control Systems; Siemens experience is advantageous.
  • A BSEE Degree is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Robotics experience is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude for hands-on tasks.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Willingness to travel 10 - 15%. Trips are usually short.
