Full Job Description
Seeking a Controls Engineer with PLC programming, design and troubleshooting experience. This is a permanent position in the Rockford, MI area.

Overview:

Also have permanent positions available in the Grand Rapids, Holland, Muskegon and Kalamazoo areas. All these permanent positions offer a variety of exciting projects in the controls automation industry for reputable and growing companies. Opportunities range from entry-level to Lead Controls and Engineering Manager roles. Most jobs require minimal travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide electrical solutions for automation equipment.
  • Design and program PLC and HMI software to meet requirements.
  • Program and troubleshoot automation machines.
  • Assist with start-up and technical support.
  • Project Engineer comprehensive electrical systems from start to finish.
  • Commission new machinery and retrofit existing machinery.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (BSEE) degree or Associate's degree preferred, but not required with relevant experience.
  • 2 plus years of programming PLCs and HMIs.
  • Allen Bradley and Siemens experience preferred.
  • Experience with programming and integrating servos, hydraulics, and pneumatics is a plus.
  • AutoCAD, or SolidWorks Electrical experience also a plus.
  • Able to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Close attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to travel up to 20%
  • Must be a US Citizen or have a Green Card.


Compensation and Benefits for the Controls Engineer positions:
