Controls Engineer

What you will enjoy doing*

  • In this role you will create and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and bills of materials using AutoCAD
  • You will design, program, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and control system applications, including legacy code updates
  • Further, you will collaborate with digitalization and engineering teams to ensure controls, data collection needs, and project requirements are met
  • You will support system assembly by guiding technicians, verifying build quality, addressing inquiries, and commissioning equipment
  • You will research and specify components, develop user manuals, and produce technical documentation such as software management plans
  • Also, you will assist with budgeting, requirement reviews, and providing technical support throughout installation, startup, and operational phases


What makes you great

  • You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and one to three years of engineering experience
  • Moreover, you are proficient in a CAD software package
  • You work comfortably with Microsoft Office tools
  • You have a strong understanding of PLC and HMI programming, with experience in Allen Bradley systems and knowledge of Visual Basic, Visual Basic dot net, and Python considered a plus
  • And finally you possess a fundamental understanding of robotics, with experience in ABB robotic systems viewed as an advantage
