Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced, hands-on Controller to lead the accounting function for a growing manufacturing business. In addition to leading accounting and financial reporting, this position provides leadership and oversight for the Supply Chain and Human Resource functions, making it a highly visible role with broad operational impact.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable closing the books, leading a high-performing accounting team, improving processes, and serving as a trusted advisor to business leadership.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
- Prepare timely and accurate financials.
- Analyze operating results and explain key business drivers.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
- Maintain account reconciliations and balance sheet integrity.
Manufacturing Finance- Oversee standard costing and cost accounting.
- Analyze inventory valuation and reserves.
- Monitor manufacturing variances and operational KPIs.
- Partner with plant leadership to improve profitability and productivity.
Internal Controls & Compliance- Maintain a strong internal control environment.
- Coordinate annual financial audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Support tax reporting requirements.
Leadership- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
- Establish and improve accounting processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Business Partnership- Partner with operations, engineering, sales, and executive leadership.
- Provide financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost savings.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 5+ years of leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Manufacturing accounting experience
- Experience with ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications- CPA or CMA
- Experience with both percentage of completion accounting and standard costing
- Experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment
- Experience implementing process improvements
- Exposure to consolidations and intercompany accounting
