Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Controller or in a senior accounting role overseeing a team.
• At least 10+ years in accounting, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA designation is preferred, but not essential.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Advanced proficiency in financial software (Yardi preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with real estate accounting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise senior accounting team activities.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of revenue entries.
• Prepare monthly and year-end financial reports for three divisions.
• Monitor Capex expenditures against the budget.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing bad debt calculations and collections procedures.
• Safeguard the accuracy of financial data in the healthcare resident portal.
• Review and approve new vendors and employees in Yardi.
• Oversee A/P payments and payroll tasks.
• Prepare monthly accruals and true-up entries.
• Support year-end audits and engage with the CFO on accounting issues.
