Korpack is growing and we're looking for a Controller to add to it!

Primary Responsibilities:

Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Oversee the creation of budgets and financial forecasts, and ensure that they align with Korpack's strategic goals. This involves analyzing financial trends, predicting future revenues and expenses, and preparing detailed budget reports.
  • Structure, build, and maintain complex financial models to develop meaningful insights and actionable recommendations while supporting corporate development activities.
  • Challenge existing norms or courses of action, facilitating informed decision-making and helping the business "connect the dots." Create constructive friction by asking the right questions and challenging assumptions as we continue to grow and scale.
  • Establish financial comps/benchmarks to peers to create higher standards of performance, fostering mutual understanding and accountability that delivers expected business results.

Financial Analysis:
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support business decisions. This includes analyzing Korpack's financial performance, understanding market trends, evaluating business opportunities, and providing insights to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Drive top-line growth and maximize margin through rigorous analytics that yield actionable insights
  • Build and manage our long-term planning financial model and run ad hoc scenarios/ sensitivity models as needed

Reporting:
  • Prepare and present financial reports to executive management, highlighting key financial metrics, variances from the budget, and areas of concern. These reports help in strategic decision-making.

Strategic Planning:
  • Play a key role in strategic planning by providing financial insights and analysis that inform long-term business strategies and goals.
  • Partner with department leaders to take ideas from concept to execution

Collaboration with Other Departments:
  • Work closely with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and operations, and customer success to ensure financial plans are integrated with operational strategies.
  • Partner with our Business Analytics and leadership teams to evolve KPIs, ensuring measurement of key performance drivers and leading indicators.
  • Work closely with senior leadership on an ongoing basis to evolve overall strategy, evaluate risks and strategic scenarios, providing knowledge of financial drivers, risks, sensitivities, trade-offs, and opportunities.

Financial Systems and Processes:
  • Key involvement in improving financial systems and processes to enhance reporting, forecasting, and analysis capabilities.
  • Continuously assess financial systems and processes for areas of improvement, efficiency gains, and cost reductions. Propose and implement changes accordingly.
  • Identify and recommend process enhancements and automation opportunities to streamline financial operations and improve efficiency.
  • Quickly understand the goals of the business to create and execute solutions for its betterment.
  • Recommend and execute ERP setting updates to improve the business.
  • Assist in writing specifications for automation of business processes.
  • Enhance internal processes through appropriate communication, documentation, problem-solving, and follow-up.

Ad Hoc Analysis:
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis as requested by senior management.
  • Address specific financial inquiries or challenges presented by the leadership team.

What Challenges We Expect:

  • The challenge is fully understanding the ERP system and its capabilities, as well as the many job functions within the organization utilizing the ERP system.
  • Many departments will request your support; being able to prioritize tasks and understand the company's vision and what is most essential to get there will be a challenge.

How We'll Support You:

  • You will have a team around you to help you perform in your role, including the mentorship of the VP of Finance and the QA/IS Manager.
  • Tools and training for effective analysis of trends and data.
  • ERP training courses and tasks in various areas to continue learning.
  • Training on industry and company software, tools, product knowledge, and use of robust ERP platform.

What You Need to Bring to the Role

Required Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • 2+ years of cloud-based ERP experience

Desired Experience
  • Proven track record of automation and business process improvement

Compensation: $125,000.00 per year
