Qualifications

• CPA designation required
• 7+ years of finance and accounting experience with at least 1 year outside a professional services firm
• US financial compliance and reporting experience is necessary
• Strong drive to optimize processes through AI and automation
• Proven experience leading audits and compliance reporting (tax, payroll)
• Ability to manage financial reporting and prepare internal/external reports
• Experience with NetSuite is required

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement scalable internal controls and accounting processes
• Assess and enhance current software tools with a focus on AI and automation
• Oversee day-to-day accounting and payroll operations
• Lead and develop a team of 4 accountants, including performance management and coaching
• Manage month-end close process and external financial reporting
• Provide timely and accurate financial analysis to assist management
• Own the audit process and prepare for audits by evaluating complex transactions
• Assist in managing tax compliance and cap table management
• Support budgeting process and annual forecasting in the FP&A function
• Manage intercompany accounting and transfer pricing between US and Canadian entities
