  • Oversee customer invoicing, accounts receivable, collections, cash application, and revenue-related reconciliations.
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Operations to ensure that bookings, contracts, billing, renewals, and revenue reporting align.
  • Establish reliable reporting for ARR, bookings, billings, revenue, deferred revenue, receivables, and collections.
Cash, Payables, Payroll, and Compliance
  • Oversee accounts payable, expense management, payroll accounting, banking activity, and cash reconciliations.
  • Support cash forecasting, liquidity management, and compliance with banking and debt requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate entity, tax, sales-tax, payroll, and regulatory compliance in partnership with outside specialists.
  • Develop and maintain controls over payments, vendor changes, bank access, customer refunds, and other sensitive transactions.
Systems, Controls, and Operational Resilience
  • Own the accounting systems environment and the integrity of data flowing among the general ledger, billing and revenue-recognition platform (Maxio), CRM (Hubspot), payroll, expense, banking, and reporting systems.

  • Ensure appropriate segregation of duties, approval levels, backup administrators, access reviews, and business-continuity procedures.
  • Document core processes so that finance operations remain reliable through employee absences and organizational transitions.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual work while maintaining strong review and control procedures.
  • Protect confidential financial, employee, customer, and banking information.
Leadership and Business Partnership
  • Serve as the primary owner of accounting accuracy and communicate risks, issues, and decisions clearly to leadership.
  • Partner on budgets, forecasts, Board reporting, lender diligence, investor requests, insurance renewals, and other corporate initiatives.
  • Recruit, manage and develop internal accounting staff and external bookkeeping, accounting, tax, and audit partners.
  • Build a culture of accountability, responsiveness, sound judgment, and continuous improvement.
