Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking an Electronic and Specialty Gas Global Controller to join our team! The Electronic and Specialty Gas Controller will be accountable for the integrity and accuracy of LG&E financial statements, including month-end close, variance analysis, forecasting and planning. The Controller will support the Electronic and Specialty Gas financial & accounting requirements and provide guidance and advice regarding overall financial policies and regulations.In addition, this role will be responsible for corporate / business reporting, strategy development, and capital investment analysis of the Global Electronics organization. Due to the nature of exempt roles, work hours may extend beyond the standard schedule when necessary to meet organizational demands, leadership responsibilities, and business objectives. This may include occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends, depending on the role and the needs of the business.

What you will enjoy doing*

  • You will support leadership team in developing a forecast, planning and monthly reporting that is integrated with strategic and operational plans that support the Company's financial goals and objectives.
  • Partner with leadership team to identify business and financial risks, prepare and execute P&L budget and strategy, analyze financial variances to initiate appropriate action, monitor and manage key business drivers of financial results, appropriately communicate business trends and results to senior staff.
  • You are going to lead capital projects financial analysis globally to ensure projects are linked to strategy and guide optimal capital allocation.
  • Oversee the integration of finance and accounting discipline into the Electronic and Spec Gas organization.
  • Work closely with LG&E Shared Services and Corporate functions to ensure compliance with appropriate accounting treatment for various transaction within the business
  • Manage financial analysis of business and product-line initiatives including data mining/opportunity identification to provide recommendations that support objectives.
  • Lead evaluation and implementation of business intelligence initiatives (tools/process) that enhance reporting systems, quality, and timeliness for optimal business decisions.
  • You are expected to ensure related financial targets and in-process performance measures are effective and enabling optimal results. Partner with cross-functional leaders to continuously improve measures.
  • Responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, contract analysis, six sigma/productivity validation and cost center management
  • Provides economic analyses, studies, and counsels on all matters of potentially significant financial impact to the business unit, including economic/competitive trends, pricing, cash flow, product line evaluation, capital expenditure analysis and new investment considerations.
  • You must also be able to manage large data sets for financial analysis and must demonstrate the pro-active desire/ability to bring process improvement to the role.
  • Must have experience working with multiple locations (plant operations background would be beneficial), ensuring the standard costs and inventory for the business is properly maintained.
