Description POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Contracts Manager will be responsible for the preparation, review, and administration of project-related EPC contracts, Professional Services Agreements, vendor agreements, and change orders. This role serves as the critical link between our project teams, internal and external legal counsel, clients, design consultants, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and mitigate risk throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction or renewable energy industry, with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and communication skills.
This is based in one of our offices located in Teaneck NJ, Irvine CA, or San Francisco. or "may" be open to remote for the right candidate. Up to 10% travel may be necessary for outreach to our contracting partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Contract Drafting & Review:
- Prepare, review, and negotiate EPC contracts, subcontracts, purchase agreements, and related documents.
- Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
- Change Order & Amendment Management:
- Support project managers in developing, reviewing, and tracking change orders and amendments.
- Maintain clear documentation and ensure proper approvals are secured.
- Documentation & Recordkeeping:
- Maintain organized records of all contracts, correspondence, and supporting documentation.
- Develop and manage template agreements.
- Implement and manage systems for tracking key contract milestones and obligations.
- Stakeholder Coordination:
- Collaborate with internal teams including project management, procurement, finance, and legal.
- Verify compliance with insurance requirements.
- Verify compliance with PWA labor requirements and coordinate with outside audit agencies.
- Identify contractual risk exposures and provide recommendations for mitigation.
- Assist leadership in developing contract management strategies to support company growth.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in business administration, construction management, legal studies , or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in contract administration, preferably in construction, renewable energy, or EPC industries.
- Knowledge of construction contracting practices and terms (e.g., AIA, EPC agreements, subcontracts).
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience with commercial solar projects or renewable energy sectors.
- Familiarity with mechanics liens, bonding, insurance requirements , and construction risk management.
- Understanding of federal, state, and local construction regulations.
- Paralegal certification or advanced contract management training.
COMPENSATION: In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the anticipated annual base salary for this position is:
- Zone 1 (SF, NYC): $106,900 - $128,300
- Zone 2 (CA, NJ, NY): $98,000 - $117,600
- Zone 3 (All Others): $89,100 - $106,900
The applicable salary range is based on the employee's primary work location. Individual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, relevant experience, education, skills, internal equity, and other business-related factors.

The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job's minimum qualifications.
