Deadline to Apply : June 23, 2026Power Generation: Calaveras Power Station Location: San Antonio, TXPay Grade16Position SummaryThe Contractor Services Manager will provide contractor support, manage contracts and support procurement activities, and provide oversight, coordination, and reporting for all plant contractors including employees and third-party personnel performing contractor oversight and coordination. The Contractor Services Manager will also provide cost tracking and budget updates to Stakeholders.
Tasks and Responsibilities- Develops work scope, plans, schedule, and budget to accomplish assigned construction/maintenance work.
- Oversees the work of assigned employee and third-party contract coordinators and inspectors.
- Sources contractor(s) and vendor(s) with supply chain for performance of work under a Firm Price or Time & Material Agreement.
- Plans work execution with CPS Energy Planning and support groups.
- Champions Safety and Environmental Compliance programs and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Obtains appropriate project / work approvals.
- Coordinates performance of all work providing appropriate oversight, inspections, support, and controls.
- Maintains scope control, secures documented approval for changes, and amends project reporting to reflect changes.
- Provides weekly and final performance, budget, production, and quality reporting.
- Provides, through experience or with the assistance of subject matter experts, appropriate technical guidance to coordinate assigned work at CPS Energy facilities being careful to NOT DIRECT contractor's personnel on ways, means, and methods to perform assigned work.
- Maintains communications between contractor(s) and plant / support groups.
- Serves as contractor supervision subject matter expert and supervises the work of contracted contractor supervisors employed to manage specific projects.
- Collects and analyzes data to create documents, reports, memos, graphs, charts, tables, drawings, etc.
- Maintains work "as-built" drawings and documentation and submits final work documentation package to plant engineering.
- Coordinates work final inspection, turnover, and start-up.
- Gains cooperation and action from people not under employee's direct control.
- Initiates/participates in continuous improvement planning and implementation in assigned area of responsibility.
- Ensures work performed by external service providers is in support of objectives, responsibilities, and contractual agreements.
- Coordinates constructability review process for specific projects, as appropriate.
- Reviews and approves invoicing providing supporting documentation as required.
- Provides documentation as required to support spending accrual.
Minimum SkillsMinimum Knowledge and AbilitiesAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Possess a valid driver's license with a history of a safe driving record in accordance with CPSE policies, procedures, safety standards, and applicable laws and regulations
Ability to perform multiple work activities with a minimum of supervision and prioritize workload effectively
Ability to work concurrently with multiple deadlines and deliverables; great attention to detail; results oriented.
Ability to meet project objectives within designated constraints
Excellent organizational, analytical, planning, multi-tasking, negotiation, problem-solving, verbal, written & communicational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling
Extensive experience working in power plant maintenance or operators, or equivalent experience in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience managing contractors
- Currently acting as a Field Representative on construction related Purchase Orders

Minimum EducationHigh School Diploma or GED

Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business related events.
Physical DemandsRequires standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, twisting, climbing stairs and ladders, and entering plant equipment to access, inspect, or collect data on plant equipment.
