USSOCOM is hiring an experienced 1102 Contract Specialist at MacDill AFB, FL (SOF AT&L). Lead full-life-lifecycle, high-dollar acquisitions delivering cutting-edge tech, tactical systems, and R&D directly to Special Operations Forces.

Salary $89,508 - $138,370

No telework or remote work authorized

Permanent position

Relocation may be authorized

Key Requirements:

5-10 years federal contracting experience (FAR/DFARS mastery)

Proven complex negotiation & strategy skills

DAWIA/APDP Contracting certification

Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance

Top Secret (SCI) Security Clearance required.

Knowledge of government and agency specific guidelines and business practices, including statutes, regulations, policies and procedures.

Knowledge of contracting negotiation, administration and termination principles, policies, procedures and technical requirements applicable to the full range of contracting actions for a variety of contract types.

Knowledge of price and cost analysis sufficient to review proposals, actual and estimated expenditures and established rates to determine price reasonableness or to determine a negotiation position.

Knowledge of business practices and market conditions applicable to acquisition requirements; of assigned contracting and procurement specializations and applicable contract types; and of methods and techniques of fact-finding, analysis and resolution of complex contracting problems.

Ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations.
