About the RoleWildBrain is looking for an experienced content development and production Contracts Manager to join its Business and Legal Affairs Team in Toronto. Reporting to the Manager, Business Affairs, the successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, administering and negotiating various content rights, development and production agreements.
Job DescriptionWhat You'll Do- Draft and administer various production agreements and related documentation, such as rights acquisition agreements and above the line talent agreements for our various properties
- Allocate, oversee and review development and production paperwork prepared by the legal coordinators and provide guidance when needed
- Oversee the preparation of start up paperwork for our various series with the applicable guilds and unions (i.e. WGC, WGA, ACTRA, DGC) and liaise with same to address matters related to such guilds and unions, particularly the Writers Guild of Canada and the Writers Guild of America
- Keep up to date with various funding guidelines as well as guild and union agreements
- Collaborate with the business teams to ensure that creative objectives are met while complying with legal, guild and union requirements
- Bring material business and legal matters to the Senior Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs
QualificationsWhat You Bring- Proven work experience in entertainment/media industries in a deal-facing role (i.e. Business Affairs, Contracts Manager, etc.)
- Experience as a paralegal or contract administrator would be an asset
- Strong proofreading skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to effectively communicate with external and internal contacts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities effectively
- Excellent, proactive client service that facilitates business goals
- Sound judgement to make effective decisions and problem solve
- Positive, professional team player who can work independently, reliably and efficiently
- Intellectual curiosity and the willingness to try new things in an effort for continual improvement of yourself, those around you and the business

Total Rewards
At WildBrain, we strive for equitable and consistent pay practices within a robust total rewards framework. Compensation may vary within the same role based on experience, performance, specialized expertise, and overall impact.
Compensation: $78,000 - 85,000 CAD. Base salary is part of a comprehensive total rewards package that includes:
