Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Contract Administrator based out of Rolling Meadows, IL. This position will be full-time onsite and offers the 9/80 schedule.

What You'll Get to Do:

As a Contracts Administrator, you will support the Electronic Warfare and Targeting (EW&T) Contracts team. You will help support all aspects of a contract portfolio from the business development phase through the closeout. You will assist the team in providing timely responses to both internal and external customers. Our Contracts Administrator will also support major capture and proposal activities including providing administrative support to guide the proposal through the proposal approval process through contract award.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Contract Management System Uploads
  • Letter Writing/Filing
  • Contract Documentation Management
  • Modifications Administration/Processing
  • Data Calls and Status Reporting for both external and internal customers
  • Interacting with multiple functional areas to provide contract support and guidance
  • Assist in management of record retention files
  • Other duties as assigned


The successful candidate will have the following skills:
  • Ability to coordinate on a daily basis with internal and external customers to address any outstanding questions or issues in a timely manner
  • Self-starter with excellent analytical and communication skills, the ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize workload
  • Comfortable being directly involved with customer negotiations and discussions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to meet high performance expectations in a dynamic work environment
  • Have excellent communication skills


This position is contingent upon funding.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of professional experience in contracts administration/management - OR - Master's degree with 1 year of experience
  • Experience using MS Office
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance is required
  • U.S. Citizenship required


PreferredQualifications:
  • Master's degree in Business, Finance, Acquisitions, or Law
  • 4 years' experience in Defense Contract Administration
  • Experience with Cost-Type, Firm Fixed Price, and T&M procurement contract types, experience with Other Transactions
  • Experience with federal government contracting requirements; FAR/DFARs interpretations

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,400.00 - $108,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
