Supervises the daily activities and performance of an organization's lean manufacturing initiatives. Analyzes production workflows, workspace design, and resource utilization to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, or waste. Implements lean initiatives and strategies to streamline and improve productivity. Monitors the progress of lean initiatives against plan objectives and evaluates the impacts of lean principles against costs, production quality, and delivery goals. Educates employees about lean concepts to ensure initiatives are integrated into workflows and processes. Daily supervision and direction of Sanitation team.
Primary Responsibilities: - Develop, manage, facilitate, and support all levels of personnel across assigned site location with the continuous improvement program using operational excellence, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Create communication and manage process for Continuous Improvement projects for specific site, including producing project updates.
- Conduct statistical analysis for projects to outline and justify improvements necessary to reduce/eliminate inefficiencies and waste within site processes.
- Support training and development of continuous improvement program for Zentis North America sites.
- Other duties as assigned by reporting manager.
Qualifications:- Bachelors Degree in related field Desired
- Lean or Continuous Improvement Certification Desired
- 3-5 years of experience in Continuous Improvement/Lean manufacturing environment.
- 3-5 years of experience of project management experience.
- Food manufacturing experience.
Key Skills:- Working knowledge and ability to develop and use Lean tools (A3, Value Stream Mapping, 5-Why, Fishbone, SIPOC etc).
- Working knowledge and ability to develop and use Project Management tools (Activity plans, Project summaries, Gant charts etc).
- Demonstrated abilities to manage personnel including coaching and employee development.
- Ability to clearly communicate upwardly to senior management and downwardly to employees as well as effective communication to customers and vendors.
- Ability to identify problems and problem solve via engaging appropriate resources internally and externally.
- Ability to assemble, develop, motivate and lead team to performance standards.
- Ability to multi-task functions and work through disruptions.
