- Uphold a genuine regard for safety, ensuring employees understand and follow safety guidelines and recognizing individuals for their involvement
- Work closely with enterprise leadership, BU and facilities leaders, and process owners to identify, develop, adopt, and diffuse manufacturing best practices throughout operations and drive accountability at all levels.
- Support facility managers to improve their processes to reduce waste; decrease changeover times; reduce inventory; improve quality, root cause analyses and problem solving; and develop workforce capabilities and skill versatilities.
- Lead change and model desirable behaviors (goal orientation, perseverance, process orientation, follow-through, communication, etc.) to set an example for others to follow.
- Prioritize improvements to help businesses achieve budgeted savings through process improvements.
- Promote strategies and best practices to accelerate to transformation to a quality and continues improvement culture. Focus on principles, practices, and behaviors needed to transform to an enterprise of Lean thinkers and practitioners.
- Balance quality, productivity, and safety to achieve positive results in all areas.
- Promote the Quality Vision and Quality/CI strategic plan. Help shape/improve the plan over time.
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders to understand and reconcile requirements.
- Facilitate peer networking among the quality/CI managers.
- Implement audits for CI systems.
- Other duties assigned.
Qualifications, Education and Experience- B.S. Degree in technical disciplines and 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Lean 6 Sigma certification highly desired. Demonstrable roots in a lean culture.
- Familiarity and working knowledge of ISO/SQF.
- The ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical reference is required. Must be well-versed in contemporary quality and manufacturing philosophies.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple priorities are required.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are required. The ability to work with customers, vendors and employees are every level of the organization is required.
- Strong leadership and coaching practices are required including a hands-on, "Go See" approach to constantly calibrate expectations and mentor regarding improvement opportunities.
- Flexible Packaging industry experience is a plus, but not required.
- Travel is required.
